Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF)
Diesel exhaust particles are harmful to the respiratory system and contribute to global warming by increasing solar radiation absorption. Particles produced by modern diesel engines are especially harmful, which is why vehicles are equipped with efficient diesel particulate filters (DPF).
A DPF traps the produced particles before they are released into the air. Over time, soot and ash accumulate in the filter, increasing backpressure, reducing engine performance, and causing diagnostic trouble codes in the emission system.
Need help with your diesel particulate filter?
Cleaning a DPF using a wash process or a combination of pneumatic cleaning and thermal regeneration is the standard OE method to remove accumulated soot and ash and restore proper operation.
DPF cleaning services are widely available across the country. However, if the filter substrate is damaged and cannot be restored through cleaning, contact us — we will determine the most suitable method to return it to working condition.
